Climate change is a major challenge the global community is facing, including here in Toronto. Among other things, the solutions require a major shift from private cars to public transit. But when transit is unreliable and unaffordable, commuters are unlikely to change their behaviour.

That’s where the “Transit Champions” program comes in.  When you  donate to this amazing program, our team trains local organizers who will activate their communities to get better, more affordable transit for everyone – all over Toronto.

Access to safe, frequent, and affordable transit has become even more important during the COVID-19. We all depend on well-funded, quality public transit because it is keeping essential workers moving. And those of us who continue to use transit are more likely to earn lower incomes, be people of colour, or have a disability.

Donate today! Whether you chip in $10, $25, $100 or $500, you support the development of grassroots leadership needed to engage thousands of Torontonians for better transit.

Your tax-deductible donation will support training program costs and scholarships for your Transit Champions, so they may become effective organizers for better transit. Our team will share updates with you about the impact of the Transit Champions throughout the course, and we’ll send you photos and a report after the program has wrapped up!
