New Project: Protecting the Beaver Valley

MARCH 14, 2022 – More than 130 acres of combined greenspace and farmland are currently at risk of development in the heart of the Beaver Valley, part of the UNESCO Niagara Escarpment Biosphere Reserve.

We are partnering with the Protecting Talisman Lands Association to prevent development on these formerly public lands. Despite overwhelming community opposition, the land was recently sold to an investment firm. It is critical that we fight the proposed construction of luxury housing and protect the Beaver Valley for generations to come.
