Canadian seniors want to ACT on climate. We’re giving them the tools to tap into their political and economic power. In the 2025 election year, one in three voters will be a senior. And seniors vote. That’s a lot of political clout. 

In October, on a shoestring, we helped volunteer organizers in 76 communities host a Seniors Day of Action on Climate. Several thousand seniors and allies coast to coast to coast marched, sang, danced and rallied their way onto local and national newscasts to demand that governments cap emissions, support the switch to clean energy and hold the oil and gas industry to account for their part in this mess. 

Our cross-Canada grassroots action was the only one of its kind in the country last year. And we got attention. There were  close to 300 local and national media mentions about our day of action. We’re six partner organizations who collectively represent thousands of Canadian seniors and we’re pushing hard to represent millions. 

Now, in 2025, WITH YOUR HELP, we will build on that success. We’re planning a spring ACTION and a fall ACTION. We’re also supporting organizers to ACT locally when they see an opportunity. We’re providing organizers with training, webinars, graphics, media support. We’re searching out national and international partners to ACT together.
