Advance Ocean Protection and Climate Leadership in Nova Scotia

The time to act on the climate crisis was yesterday. This is why the Public Voice Fund granted $30,000 to the East Coast Environmental Law Association (ECELA) to support an extension of the offshore drilling ban in Georges Bank off the coast of Nova Scotia this August. Furthermore, the provincial and federal governments will be asked to step up as climate leaders to safeguard the ocean and its vital ecosystems. They will be asked to protect Nova Scotia’s offshore through a just transition. We cannot wait to see what ECELA does for the east coast of Canada during this pivotal time.
