We are dedicated to the protection, restoration and conservation of water in the Great Lakes Watershed. We believe that Water is for Life, Not Profit and that water is a human right. We want to see SDG6 achieved in Canada by 2030. We support grassroots organizing, regional organizing, and solidarity organizing efforts toward water justice.

We oppose the commodification of water.

We oppose the privatization of municipal water systems.

We support grassroots groups who are advocating for the health and quality of their local water systems.

We support Indigenous communities advocating for their right to free, prior, and informed consent on issues impacting their lands and waters, including access to clean drinking water.

We support the just transition of workers to find meaningful work in a Green, Circular Economy.

We celebrate the precious life-giving waters that allow all of us to exist here through hosting festivals and art celebrations.

We know that we all need to do our part to ensure that we have safe water for many generations to come.
