Story

The Petersburg community in Wilmot Township is under threat of the Petersburg Sand Pit.

The development of the Petersburg Sand Pit would destroy approximately 27 hectares of farmland as well as surrounding water and air quality. We are trying to stop this destruction. Local residents, farmers, and concerned citizens in neighbouring communities are coming together to preserve farmland, water and air quality in the Petersburg community. We must continue to raise awareness about what is at stake in choices between development and preserving farmland and the environment.

With your help, we can Stop the Petersburg Sand Pit and protect farmland and water for the health and safety of the Petersburg community and environment. Please donate today.
