New Project: Protecting and Restoring Lake Simcoe

New Project: Protecting and Restoring Lake Simcoe

We are partnering with the Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition to fight the Bradford Bypass and save Lake Simcoe and the surrounding environment.

The proposed Bradford Bypass is a 16.2-kilometre highway connecting Ontario’s Highway 400 in Simcoe County and Highway 404 in York Region. The Bypass would cut through the Holland Marsh, a significant watershed in the region.

The Bradford Bypass is currently proceeding under a 1997 environmental study, drafted before the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan was established.
