Dance for the Greenbelt!
AUGUST 15, 2024 –
Do you remember how you felt one year ago when we won the fight to stop the Ontario government from taking land from the Greenbelt for development? We felt like dancing!
So, we decided to hold a Barn Dance in Hillsburgh, Ontario to celebrate two things. First, our victory last year in pushing the Ontario government to reverse the cuts to the Greenbelt. Second, to launch our next phase of Greenbelt protection.
The proposed Highway 413 and Bradford Bypass remain threats to the integrity of the Greenbelt. And the need to protect farmland, forests and wetlands calls for the expansion of the Greenbelt in other communities. This event will be a spirited launch of the next phase of Greenbelt protection in Ontario.
You’re invited to a fun-filled day of live music, barn dancing, art, nature, local refreshments and family activities to raise funds for the Greenbelt and launch the next phase of our campaign to protect and expand it. We’ll gather at the beautiful Bela Farm in Hillsburgh, Erin County on Sunday, September 29th between 12-5 PM EST.
You may purchase tickets and learn more about the event here!
Grab your friends, family and dancing shoes and come on down to Bela Farm for a memorable experience!
P.S. Not able to join us but still want to show your support? Donations can be made on the Gather crowdfunding page.
