Art Auction in Support of Anishnabe-led Moose Research Project

MAY 6, 2022 – Small Change Fund is honoured to partner with the Anishnabe Moose Research Committee on the Anishnabe-led Moose Research Project. The aim is to protect the moose population in and around La Vérendrye Wildlife Park, which is on the unceded traditional territory of the Algonquin people. The moose population in the park has dropped by over a third in the past dozen years – a significant decline.

We are running an art auction and t-shirt sale to raise funds for this critical work. The auction consists of four different, signed silkscreen prints by Ojibwe artist Isaac Murdoch and a hand carved birch moose sculpture by Algonquin artist Nish Nabie. Our #MooseMoratorium shirts feature artwork by Isaac and will be available for ordering in sizes Small – XL.

Bidding begins on May 10th, 2022 at 12pm ET and will conclude on May 31st, 2022 at noon. T-shirts will be available for ordering during the same window. You can check out the preview of the auction and learn more about the project by visiting the campaign page. You can also help us spread the word with these ready-made social media posts.
