New Project: Protecting and Restoring Lake Simcoe
JANUARY 31, 2022 – We are partnering with the Rescue Lake Simcoe Coalition to fight the Bradford Bypass and save Lake Simcoe and the surrounding environment.
The proposed Bradford Bypass is a 16.2-kilometre highway connecting Ontario’s Highway 400 in Simcoe County and Highway 404 in York Region. The Bypass would cut through the Holland Marsh, a significant watershed in the region.
The Bradford Bypass is currently proceeding under a 1997 environmental study, drafted before the Lake Simcoe Protection Plan was established.
