Update: No MZO in Blair

OCTOBER 19, 2021 – A new CBC article features our ongoing fight against the Minister Zoning Order (MZO) in Blair, Ontario with our partners, Blair Village Engaged. MZOs circumvent the democratic process – leaving the public with no opportunity to comment on proposed plans.

Now, investigation suggests members of the Six Nations of the Grand River were not properly consulted before the MZO in Blair was approved. As Alan Van Norman, co-chair of Blair Village Engaged, comments in the article, “While we think we’ve been disrespected in this process, it’s pretty clear the Six Nations of the Grand River have been disrespected for more than 150 years.”
