Welcome, Jon!

SEPTEMBER 16, 2022 – We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan McPhedran Waitzer to the Small Change Fund Team! Jon is the National Organizer for the project Mobilizing Young People with Class Privilege to Reduce Poverty and Address the Climate Crisis.

“I am so excited for the future of this project,” says Jon. “And I’m grateful to Small Change Fund for providing the infrastructure that allows it to grow.”

Jon’s professional experience includes leadership roles with grassroots community services and in international development, policy advocacy and management consulting. They are working to promote social movements in the nonprofit sector that follow the leadership of the communities most affected by injustice. In particular, Jon is passionate about helping privileged people “move towards wholeness and accountability.”

Jon’s fun fact is that they are a non-taster: “I’ve enjoyed pretty much every food I’ve ever tasted,” they explained, “The more and stronger the flavours, the better!”
