Saving the Avon (Pisiguit) River

Firstline defense for the river

We partnered to raise funds and awareness to challenge a new causeway-dam which would further threaten the Avon (Pisiguit) River. Through this campaign we supported Mi’kmaq Peoples, who have never surrendered their fishing rights, and many other Friends of the Avon River in their fight to save and restore this crucial ecosystem and restore the river’s natural flow.
