We will never share or sell your information to any other organization. Only people of Small Change Fund or those running the fundraising campaigns will have access to your data.
What personal data do we collect and why do we collect it?
Information entered by registered users, donors, and visitors to the site that include, but may not be limited to, address, name, email, phone number, and payment information are kept within a third party database only accessible by Small Change Fund. This information is kept mainly for the financial record keeping responsibilities required by law and may also be used to improve site functionality.
Some campaigns may have a public donor list. When you donate to that campaign, your name and amount donated will be added to this list unless the check box beside ‘Make me Anonymous’ is selected in which case only Anonymous along with the amount will be visible publicly.
Comments and Reviews
When visitors leave comments or reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the forms, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images or videos to the website, you should avoid uploading any with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images and videos on the website. Small Change Fund expects you have received formal permission to use any images or videos posted to our website.
If you have an account and you log onto this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. For visitors that have not registered, comment forms contain an ‘opt in’ for cookies. This is for your convenience to avoid retyping the same information multiple times.
When you log onto this site, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices to bypass login in on new tabs. If you select “Remember Me”, your login information will persist to reduce retyping. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (aside from their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
