Green Heritage: Adaptive Reuse and Energy Efficiency
Making the old new again
We supported the “recycling” of at-risk heritage buildings in Nova Scotia through facilitating adaptive reuse studies with local architects. This research was shared with developers, officials, and the community to promote retrofitting these buildings at-risk of demolition to modern use, energy-efficient structures which retain their character, avoid wasteful demolition, and reduce energy use.
