National Charity Launches Funding Program for Nova Scotia
SEPTEMBER 12, 2022 –
Small Change Fund wants to improve the lives of Nova Scotia residents. The national charity partners with Canadians on protecting the environment, relieving poverty and supporting Reconciliation.
Applications are now being accepted for their Nova Scotia Changemakers Program, which will invest up to $2,000 for three Nova Scotia-based projects. In return, project partners will match this contribution through crowdfunding on the Small Change Fund platform.
“I am thrilled we can help in my home province,” says Abbie Branchflower, Communications Manager with Small Change Fund and a Kentville resident. “We have so many important issues here that will benefit from the support by Small Change Fund.”
Along with the use of their award-winning crowdfunding platform, Small Change Fund can assist with communications, research, and government relations. Additionally, the Fund provides opportunities to connect with professional storytellers, access to sophisticated digital advocacy tools, and much more.
The selection process will prioritize projects led by Black, Indigenous and People of Colour individuals or organizations. Organizations who have not previously worked with Small Change Fund will be given priority but all are welcome to apply.
Applications for the program will be accepted until December 23rd, 2022. Successful applicants will be notified on January 10th, 2023.
Inquiries and requests for application materials should be directed to Ms. Branchflower at abbie@smallchangefund.ca.
