Donating Securities
Many people like to donate by selling stocks, bonds or mutual funds that have increased in value, and donating the after-tax proceeds. But if you donate those securities directly to us, you’ll get a larger amount to give, plus a larger charitable tax credit, too.
That’s because you won’t pay capital gains taxes, so you can give the full value of the securities. This chart compares the two ways of donating:

Legacy Giving
If you will it, we’ll make sure it happens.
Leaving a gift in your will is an increasingly popular way to keep your values working for good. A legacy gift to Small Change Fund will help local, grassroots-led activities do far better than they could on their own — the kinds of causes that rarely get the spotlight, but are making a tangible difference in communities like yours.
You can even say which program areas you’d like to support, like fighting climate change or supporting Indigenous empowerment, or direct your giving to a certain area of the country.
