Story
Ontario wants to build two new highways north of Toronto, paving over thousands of acres of Greenbelt land and destroying priceless nature and farmland. The highways are too expensive, would cause significant air and water pollution, and simply aren’t needed.
At the same time, the Province is refunding the sticker fees for vehicle licence plates. Why not donate your licence plate sticker refund to fighting the highways? When it comes to Mother Nature, none of us get a free ride.
We are running the Stick it to Highways campaign in April and May as one big gift back to Nature. Join the fight by donating your plate sticker refund towards the fight against bad highways and for strong climate action.
