Canadian Environment Week

It’s Canadian Environment Week, a week to celebrate past victories and to encourage Canadians to take further action to protect their environment. From reducing plastic use and food waste, to improving energy efficiency in your home, to advocating for local ecosystems, there is so much you can do to take action for the environment. And, of course, you can also support your favourite Small Change Fund project!

We want to give a special shout out to our partners Seniors for Climate who are hosting a Week of Action to break through the climate silence. With 36 events confirmed so far there is something for everyone! This June marks five years since the British Columbia heat dome killed 619 people, mostly seniors, and incinerated the town of Lytton. This week of events is part of the Break Through the Climate Silence campaign, calling on the federal government to end its silence and act on the urgency and severity of the climate crisis.
