June 1 through June 7, 2025 is Canadian Environment Week. We want to take a moment to recognize our partners’ tireless work to protect the environment – whether
fighting climate change, combatting plastic pollution, conserving local wetlands or protecting endangered species. Environmental protection takes many different forms but every piece plays an important role in ensuring we preserve our local, national and global environment.
You can check out our environmentally-focussed projects under Tackling Climate Change and Its Impacts and Protecting Nature, Clean Water and Farmlands. You will also find environment-themed initiatives under our other categories as well. The beauty (and significance!) of the environment is that it impacts everything.
Canadian Environment Week began in 1971 as a way to celebrate our national environmental accomplishments and encourage Canadians to do more to protect the environment. Now more than ever, environmental protection is critical. We hope you will join us in celebrating our beautiful Canadian environment this week and taking action to protect it for generations to come.
