Our partners at the Scarborough Environmental Association (SEA) are reimagining how to advocate for both climate action and community in Toronto. Through service-based programs, like the Repair and Renew Program, thousands of residents have been reached who aren’t typically engaged on climate issues, empowering them to prioritize intersectional solutions and advocate for themselves.
With your support, we can continue running monthly Repair Cafés where community members fix everything from clothes to appliances to bikes, while also sustaining the weekly sewing mentorship program, pop-up bike repair events, and new initiatives that bring repair opportunities to low-income and marginalized residents in Toronto’s East End.
Having hosted over 100 successful repair events, our partners at SEA know how to maximize every dollar to fight climate change, reduce waste, and combat poverty, while building stronger, more resilient communities.
