We are dedicated to protecting the Headwaters and, by doing so, also protecting Ontario’s water.

The Headwaters region is home to a 400-million-year-old aquifer that purifies the water for our Great Lakes. This incredible natural water purifier is irreplaceable and also more vulnerable than ever.

Hotter summers have already put additional strain on our water systems. Protecting headwaters now is vital to ensure clean, reliable water for our communities and ecosystems in a changing climate.

With over 5,000 pits and quarries and 38 years of approved aggregate supply already in Ontario, we already have enough to meet Ontario’s development projections. This isn’t about growth, it’s about water risk.
