Building a Liveable Ontario

Raised:

$433,511

Goal:

$500,000

In October Ontarians will elect new municipal Councils. We want them to make our communities more liveable and affordable, and refuse to implement the Province’s reckless sprawl plans. To get us there, we’ve created the Building a Liveable Ontario Roadmap for Municipalities, 10 practical actions municipal governments can take. Now we need your help to spread the word.

The Building a Liveable Ontario Roadmap for municipalities has 10 actions that focus on:

Building liveable neighbourhoods
Safeguarding our food and water security
Making homes affordable.

We need your help to spread word out about our Roadmap and build public demand for local candidates to support it.

To get us there we’re focusing on two key activities:

Creating online resources, including podcasts, explainer videos and YouTube shorts. We’re planning 10 feature-length podcasts and up to a dozen explainer videos about the 10 actions. We’re also creating numerous YouTube shorts promoting our content.
Working with local groups across Ontario to get the content into the hands of Ontarians and candidates -in communities all across Ontario. We’re connecting with our member groups and helping them connect with their members and communities. Together, we’ll spread the word about our 10 actions and get municipal candidates to endorse them.

Your donation will help us carry out these important activities. Please help us raise the $10,000 we need to complete our work by early September.
