Building Capacity for Climate Action

A group of climate organizers meeting outside in British Columbia.

In late June, our Cap the Crap project with 350 Canada co-hosted a two-part training series in Manning Park, BC with Organizing Exchange. The training was a powerful step towards rebuilding grassroots power across the climate movement and equipped participants with an understanding of the current moment in the movement, along with the skills needed to grow and engage beyond the usual crowd. At a time of rising disinformation and political disengagement, this kind of relationship-based, skill-rich organizing is more essential than ever. Participants left re-energized, better connected and ready to build broad, public support for bold, justice-centered climate action.
