Project Update: Preserving the Forks of the Credit

OCTOBER 19, 2022 –

October has been a great month for our project, Preserving the Forks of the Credit. 

On October 12th, nearly 200 people attended a Community Meeting hosted by our partners, Forks of the Credit Preservation Group. Not only did these folks turn out to show their support, they also donated a total of $85,000!

This inspiring meeting was followed on October 18th by the exciting news that the Town of Caledon Council unanimously voted in support of the Interim Control By-Law (ICBL) – halting all new quarry applications for a year. This much needed moratorium will allow time for further study and policy development.
